Excellent hardness and durability
Roller cores are typically made from high grade alloy steel, precision machined and often subjected to advanced heat treatments for optimum structural integrity. It is then evenly coated with a layer of industrial hard chrome (typically 0.1 mm - 0.3 mm thick), a coating known for its extremely high hardness (HRC 60-68) and corrosion resistance. This superior hardness protects the drum surface from abrasion, wear and minor impacts from foreign particles, thus significantly extending its service life and drastically reducing the frequency of costly replacements and resharpening. |
Excellent temperature uniformity
Our mirror rolls achieve this through a carefully designed internal structure that optimizes the passage of heating or cooling media (e.g. thermal oil, water). Internal baffles ensure an even distribution of the flow and prevent hot or cold spots on the entire working surface of the roller. In addition, the uniform wall thickness and high thermal conductivity of the roller material help to transfer heat quickly and evenly, eliminating temperature gradients that can lead to material warpage, uneven bonding or inconsistent product performance. |
